We have compiled some case studies below to illustrate how Making the Connection works on the ground. The studies feature a number of our clients and show how we have helped them to progress back into work.

MTC North & Laing O'Rourke


MTC North has worked closely with Laing O'Rourke to develop and deliver pre-employment gateways, resulting in 19 people gaining employment with the construction company.

MTC worked with CPP the insurance firm, a major employer in Chesterfield, to create an advanced gateway which closely met their needs.

'Back On Track' Events


A series of events took place offering advice and help to anyone currently unemployed or facing redundancy have recently taken place in Newark and Sherwood. Information and advice was available on employment, education, housing, health, benefits and business start-ups. 64 people were supported during these events.

The Getting Into Work Programme

 

Getting into Work is a project funded by Neighbourhood Renewal and managed by Mansfield District Council. The project is designed to assist long term unemployed people into work who reside in neighbourhood renewal areas and engage with Mansfield's small and medium businesses to establish skill requirements and vacancies, offering advice and support where required. Nextstep 

 

This case study looks at the ways in which Making the Connection partners Next Step have been delivering employment and skills solutions across Nottingham over the last 18 months.
